English vineyard wedding at Highdown vineyard, West Sussex

If you’re planning a wedding at Highdown vineyard in West Sussex, you’ll find so much inspiration from this wedding.

Louise and Pete got married at Highdown vineyard, which is a beautiful venue in West Sussex with views of the South Downs. Despite the promise of rain, we had gorgeous sunshine all day!

Louise and Pete were one of the most affectionate and fun loving couples that I had photographed. They couldn’t keep their hands off each other and were making each other laugh constantly.

The ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service in a local church. It was one of the longer ceremonies that I had a pleasure to photograph, made very personal by several wonderful readings from friends and family.

The reception was in a barn at Highdown vineyard – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits with its unique backdrop. You can’t help but feel like you’re in France – it’s made for romance!

The reception

The couple hired a stunning blue Mustang to take them from church to the venue. I absolutely love vintage wedding cars, so we made sure that Louise and Pete had plenty of photos with it.

Their wedding breakfast was a feast, and the first dance was a romantic slow dance. It was one of the most beautiful ones I’ve seen. No special routine, but it was so heartfelt and you could just tell that both of them were completely in the moment.
After that, their group of friends and family members brought very high energy to the dancefloor – it really was a joyful day.
