Mediterranean inspired wedding at Bignor park, Sussex

If you’re planning a wedding at Bignor park in Sussex, you’ll find so much inspiration in this wedding!

Lucy and Pete got married at Bignor park, which is a country house in Sussex with stunning grounds. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect!

The Ceremony

The ceremony was a beautiful service in the Greek Loggia. It was so personal and meaningful.

They decorated the area with beautiful florals, which I loved.

The reception was in a courtyard at Bignor park – I love this venue because it has so many great opportunities for portraits.

I’m a huge fan of wedding venues with a lot of history, and Bignor park certainly has plenty of that. Can we just take a minute to appreciate the fact that the house is pink! It makes it stand out even more. It was love at first sight between me and Bignor.

Why Bignor park is a great place to get married

Bignor park is perfect for anyone who loves the outdoors, and is one of the best places to get married in Sussex. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.

The venue accepts a very limited number of weddings each year and it means that they are able to give every couple their full attention. You also get access to the venue two days before your wedding, so that you can set it up exactly how you want it, and there is no rush.

The reception

There are several options for your ceremony and reception locations. Lucy and Pete chose to have their ceremony in the beautiful Greek Loggia. They had their drinks reception at South Lawn which boasts incredible views overlooking South Downs. And their reception was in the charming courtyard with a Mediterranean feast for dinner – it really felt like you were in Italy.

The details

Lucy wore a classic white dress, and she later changed into her second dress. Both were elegant and chic choices.

There were a lot of florals, and they really added to and transformed the space. They were a lot of yellows, oranges and browns – these warm tones made the ceremony and reception areas feel extra cosy.
