Sally and Ion got married at Field Place Manor House and Barns, which is a barn in West Sussex with stunning grounds. It was a scorching day and one of the most fun weddings I've shot!
Preparations
Sally is a former hairdresser, so she did her own hair and make up. Not only that, you could still see her doing her bridesmaids’ hair minutes before she had to leave for the ceremony!
The bride went for a natural and glowy make up look, and added some relaxed waves to her hair.
The ceremony
The ceremony was outside at the open-air bandstand surrounded by beautiful landscaped gardens. It was a really hot day in July, and the gorgeous outdoor ceremony space made it seem like we were somewhere in the Mediterranean.
During the ceremony bride and groom read their own vows, which made it extra personal.
They also had a flower man instead of a flower girl, who made quite an entrance. It was unique and absolutely hilarious.
The reception was in a barn at Field Place Manor House and Barns – I love this venue because it’s so cosy and relaxed. Weddings at Field Place Manor House and Barns are amazing, because the grounds are completely stunning.

Field Place Manor House and Barns has a really laid-back vibe, and is one of the nicest places to get married in West Sussex. The venue offers an amazing atmosphere for a wedding – and there are so many beautiful spots that are perfect for photos.
The main attraction of this venue is the beautiful English Country Garden. It’s really extensive, and boasts so many wonderful florals depending on the time of the year.
Another huge plus of this venue is the light and spacious bridal prep room. It makes a huge difference having access to it early in the morning, and not having to make an extra trip to get to the ceremony.
And of course, you will also have your own on –the - day coordinator, who will look after you and make sure that everything is running smoothly, so you can just relax and enjoy your day!
After the ceremony
The couple had drinks and canapes in the afternoon, and a DJ and a party in the evening. They also had traditional Moldovan dancers, as this is where the groom's side of the family are from. It was really unique and special incorporating traditions from both sides of the families, and so much fun as everyone got involved and was dancing the night away.
