Laid-back Vineyard October Wedding at Mannings Heath golf club, West Sussex
If you’re planning your Big Day at Mannings Heath in Horsham, you’ll find a lot of inspiration in this blog!
Lauren and James got married at Mannings Heath golf club, which is part of Leonardslee Wine Estate family. It’s a gorgeous venue, with a stunning 17th century (pink!) manor house and truly beautiful grounds.
Lauren and James wanted to have a relaxed day with their loved ones, a big celebration in a picturesque location – and they couldn’t have picked a better place for it.
It was the most beautiful October day – sunny, warm and crisp. The sun was shining all day, and it was making me really excited for the couple.
Morning Preparations
You have the option to get ready at the hotel or at the cottage. Lauren had her morning preparations in a hotel room, which was very pretty and photogenic. The colour palette was peachy and blue, and it looked very Mediterranean. It’s not the biggest room, but it was perfect for Lauren and her bridesmaid.
The Wedding Ceremony
The ceremony was a beautiful service in a dedicated room. It was absolutely gorgeous, with its light and airy space and wonderful light beaming through the windows.
The Wedding Reception
After the ceremony, everyone headed outside for confetti and drinks. There was a very unique touch – sabrage – James opened a bottle of champagne with a sword after a bit of coaching by the venue’s wine expert.
Lauren and James had some time to mingle and say Hello to their guests, and then we made our way to the beautiful vineyard for their couple shoot.
Couple Portrait Photos
Lauren wore a stunning long-sleeved dress with pretty lacing. James wore a classic 3 piece suit, and they looked really gorgeous together.
This couple really wanted to take advantage of everything that their venue had to offer in terms of photo opportunities. And there is A LOT! Leonardslee vineyard, a very pretty manor house, beautiful stretches of woodland and stunning grounds. We also took some obligatory photos of the couple in a golf buggy.
Lauren and James got in touch with me about a year before their wedding, saying that they were drawn to my relaxed photography style and film inspired colours.
